Opa! Get ready for a lively and delectable dining experience at Acropolis Taverna. Family owned and operated for 20 years, Acropolis offers diners high quality greek cuisine in a fun and comfortable atmosphere. Over the last 20 years it has expanded to five different locations in the Florida area, with the most recent opening in South Tampa this past November. Expect “tavern style” dining with a Greek twist and enjoy some authentic hummus platters, Saganaki, Greek style lamb chops, or gyro platters…and that’s just the beginning! Sourcing much of their seafood from Clearwater, Florida and produce from local markets they strive to bring the freshest ingredients to your plate.
Acropolis does not disappoint. Their happy hour cannot be missed offering two for one margaritas and sangria daily. If Mondays are getting you down, we suggest taking advantage of their “Martini Monday” specials and enjoy one of their many martini’s for $5.00. The Skinos Fresh Martini was developed in house and is made with Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur, St. Pete’s Gin (a local distillery in St. Petersburg), lemon juice, and bitters. The flavor is sweet and citric while the cucumber makes it a very refreshing cocktail, perfect for a hot day. Acropolis also strives to bring its patrons a true cultural experience; here you can observe belly dancing, plate breaking, napkin throwing, zorba dancing and live music!
