If your backyard is still waking up, it is time to take matters into your own hands. Putting a little life into your glass is as simple as reaching for the right botanical base, and this season, we are leaning heavily into the “green” side of the garden.
Good things are blooming at the Social House, and we aren’t just talking about the flowers. We are cultivating a fresh lineup of cocktails that bridge the gap between the last frost and the first true harvest. Here are two ways to drink your greens this spring.
The Green Giant
Consider this your first successful harvest of the season. The Green Giant is a savory, botanical powerhouse that doesn’t require a green thumb, just a straw. We start with Vodka and layer in a pinch of fresh tarragon and sugar snap peas. Balanced with dry vermouth, lemon juice, and a touch of simple syrup, it is served over a mountain of crushed ice and garnished with a crisp sugar snap pea. It is bright, earthy, and exactly the kind of “growth” we like to see at the bar.
The Boujee Spritz
If you are looking for a floral lift that feels a bit more elevated, the Boujee Spritz is bottled spring. We combine our Small Batch Vodka with the delicate, floral pull of Thatchers Organic Elderflower Liqueur. Shaken with lime juice and fresh mint, then topped with Coppercraft pink bubbly and soda water, garnished with a fresh mint sprig. It is a refreshing escape and the easiest way to add a splash of green to your afternoon.
