5 Cool Cocktails to Beat the Heat

Feeling hot, hot, hot? Us too. The latest heat wave has us clinging to air conditioning to beat the heat, but these cool cocktails do the job too and can top off a trip to the kiddie pool. Hugo
From Dana D. and featuring Prosecco, summer’s sparkling wine.  

1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Elderflower Liqueur
.5 oz elderflower syrup
Prosecco
Splash of seltzer
1 mint sprig 
Garnish with lime 

Muddle mint in bottom of glass. Add Thatcher’s Organic Elderflower Liqueur and elderflower syrup. Drop in a few ice cubes. Fill glass with Prosecco and a splash of seltzer. Stir gently and garnish with lime wedge.

Snow Martini
For a downturn in degrees.

2.25 oz Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
.75 oz blue curaçao
3 oz pineapple juice
2 tbsp cream of coconut

Prickly Pear Margarita
For excessive, desert-like heat. 

2 oz Thatcher’s Organic Prickly Pear Liqueur
1 oz blanco tequila
1 oz fresh lime juice
.5 oz agave syrup

2 oz Coppercraft Gin
1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Elderflower Liqueur
2-3 oz champagne, to taste
.25 oz Thatcher’s Organic Prickly Pear Liqueur

Ingredients for 4 servings
2 cups Prosecco
1.5 cups chopped strawberries
.25 cup lime juice
.5 cup Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
