At Thatcher’s Organic, we love an affordable, simple cocktail recipe that still serves up a full-flavor experience. This week we went to Trader Joe’s — our food and beverage sanctuary — for inspiration and did a little R&D with a few always-wonderful Trader Joe’s products.
We handpicked and created five different cocktails, each incorporating one or more Trader Joe’s products. No matter the season, these cocktails are bound to impress – all you have to do is grab these products from a Trader Joe’s near you! 5 Cocktails with Trader Joe’s Products
Caramel Apple Mule
There is no perfect Fall cockt-…oh wait.
- 2 oz Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
- 3.5 oz Trader Joe’s Spiced Cider
- 4 oz Trader Joe’s Brewed Ginger Beer
- Caramel drizzle, garnish
- Cinnamon sugar, garnish
In a glass, drizzle caramel and then dip the glass’ rim in caramel followed by cinnamon sugar. Combine and stir all ingredients, then pour into the glass.
Cucumber Cooler
This cocktail is cooler than you.
- 1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
- 1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur
- 2 oz Trader Joe’s Cold Pressed Watermelon Juice
- 2-3 oz Trader Joe’s Lime Sparkling Water
- .5 oz fresh lime juice
- Sea salt, garnish
- Lime wheel, garnish
Rim your glass with sea salt. Fill with ice and add Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka, Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur, Trader Joe’s Cold Pressed Watermelon Juice, and fresh lime juice. Stir until well chilled. Top with Trader Joe’s Lime Sparkling Water and garnish with a lime.
Green Machine
This is healthy, right?
- 1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur
- 1 oz gin
- 2 oz Trader Joe’s To The Power of Seven Green Organic Juice Beverage
- 3-4 oz Trader Joe’s Green Apple Sparkling Water
- Cucumber, garnish
- Strawberry, garnish
In a glass filled with ice, mix Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur, gin, and Trader Joe’s To The Power of Seven Green Organic Juice Beverage. Top with Trader Joe’s Green Apple Sparkling Water and garnish with a cucumber and strawberry slice.
Desert Oasis
With a cocktail this good, you’ll want to get stranded in the desert.
- 2 oz Thatcher’s Organic Prickly Pear Liqueur
- 1 oz rum
- .5 oz lemon juice
- 4 oz Trader Joe’s Rhubarb & Strawberry Soda
- Rhubarb ribbon, garnish
- Lemon wheel, garnish
In a glass filled with ice, mix Thatcher’s Organic Prickly Pear Liqueur, rum, and lemon juice until chilled. Top with Trader Joe’s Rhubarb & Strawberry Soda. Garnish with rhubarb ribbon and lemon wheel.
Trader Joe’s Sparkling Giggle Juice
This giggle juice yields 6 servings to share with friends.
- 12 oz moscato
- 6 oz Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
- 12 oz Trader Joe’s Sparkling Pink Lemonade
- 8 oz Trader Joe’s Sparkling Limeade
- 8 oz sliced strawberries
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine 1.5 cups Moscato, .75 cup Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka, 1.5 cups Trader Joe’s Sparkling Pink Lemonade, 1 cup Trader Joe’s Sparkling Limeade, 1 cup sliced strawberries and juice from half a lime (taste and add more lime juice if needed). Add plenty of ice, stir & serve.
