Our favorite murder-mystery, White Lotus, has an insane theme song that’s been stuck in our heads since the start of Season 2, making us dream of vacation cocktails and tropical island resorts. The vacation cocktails included in our latest blog transport us to our own White Lotus experience… but with less murder and more flavor. Special thanks to the bartenders at Red Mesa Mercado in St. Petersburg, Florida, for sharing a few tropical cocktail recipes with us, including one that has us trilling like the opening credits of the nation’s favorite satirical dramedy.
5 White Lotus Themed Vacation Cocktails
Customs Check
This prickly pear-forward vacation cocktail reminds us of somewhere South and sunny.
- .75 oz Thatcher’s Organic Prickly Pear Liqueur
- 1.25 oz Milagro Reposado Tequila
- .75 oz prickly pear purée
- .75 oz lemon juice
- Salt, for rim
- Lemon wheel with cactus pick, garnish
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled. Strain into a chilled glass rimmed with salt. Garnish with lemon wheel and cactus pick.
Postcards From Rita
This cocktail is sweet and fruity, like every good tropical getaway.
- .75 oz Thatcher’s Organic Blood Orange Liqueur
- 1.25 oz Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka
- 1.25 oz POG juice
- .75 oz coconut cream
- Sugar rim
- Guava purée swirl
- Whipped cream, garnish
- Orange slice, garnish
- Maraschino cherry, garnish
- Paper umbrella, garnish
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled. Strain into a glass rimmed with sugar and over crushed ice. Pour guava purée swirl over. Garnish with whipped cream, orange slice, cherry, and paper umbrella.
Blood Orange Aperol Spritz
This blood orange twist on the classic Italian Aperol Spritz amps up the drama. Perhaps because the Aperol Spritz is a supporting character in the second season of White Lotus.
- 1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Blood Orange Liqueur
- 1 oz Aperol
- 2 oz blood orange juice
- 3 oz prosecco
- Ice
- Blood orange slice, garnish
Fill your preferred glass with ice. Add Thatcher’s Organic Blood Orange Liqueur, blood orange juice, Aperol, and prosecco consecutively. Garnish with blood orange slices.

Pineapple Cosmopolitan
This cocktail is a swirl of flavors for your Hawaiian-esque staycation.
- 1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
- .5 oz Thatcher’s Organic Blood Orange Liqueur
- .25 oz Thatcher’s Organic Elderflower Liqueur
- 2 oz pineapple juice
- 1 lime squeeze(s)
Combine Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka, Thatcher’s Organic Blood Orange Liqueur, Thatcher’s Organic Elderflower Liqueur, pineapple juice, and lime in a shaker filled with ice. Shake well until frothy.

Hawaiian Sunset
This cocktail uses vodka as the heart of a traditional tiki cocktail.
- 1.5 oz Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
- .5 oz orgeat syrup
- .5 oz lime Juice
- .5 oz lemon Juice
- 1 bar spoon grenadine
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake with ice. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
