We dreamt up these BBQ cocktails in batch quantities, with enough to serve a whole backyard of friends and family. You can multiply or divide the quantities as needed for your own Memorial Day celebrations!
Cucumber Lemonade
What BBQ spread is complete without some boozy and cucumber crisp lemonade?
1 large cucumber, peeled & diced
5 mint leaves
2 oz Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur
4 oz Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
24 oz lemonade or limeade
Ice
Cucumber slices, garnish
(Serves 4) In a blender, blend the cucumber into a puree. Pour the puree through a strainer into a pitcher, squeezing out the juice and discarding the pulp. Alternatively, use a juicer to obtain cucumber juice. Muddle in mint leaves in the pitcher. Add ice, cucumber liqueur, vodka, and lemonade to the pitcher and give a quick stir. Garnish with cucumber slices.
Cucumber Watermelon Chiller
We first whipped up this batch cocktail in 2022, and we’ve been bringing it to the barbecue ever since.
1 bottle (750ml) Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
1 bottle (750ml) Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur
2 L pureed watermelon
6 oz lime juice
Basil sprigs, garnish
(Serves 8-10) Prepare watermelon by pureeing and straining through a fine mesh sieve into a drink dispenser with ice. Add Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka, Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur, and lime juice to taste. Stir until well combined. Pour into serving glasses with ice and garnish with a basil sprig.
Smoky Peach & Bourbon Punch
A sweet-meets-smoky crowd-pleaser.
10 oz Coppercraft Straight Bourbon Whiskey
12 oz Thatcher’s Organic Peach Liqueur
2 oz lemon juice
2 oz honey syrup (equal parts honey & hot water)
32 oz chilled sweet tea
Sliced peaches + lemon wheels, garnish
(Serves 5-6) In a large pitcher, stir bourbon, peach liqueur, lemon juice, and honey syrup. Add tea and refrigerate until cold. Serve over ice in mason jars with peach and lemon slices.
Elderflower Citrus Spritz
Light, floral, and crushable.
1 bottle (750ml) Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
10 oz Thatcher’s Organic Elderflower Liqueur
16 oz grapefruit juice
3 oz lime juice
24 oz soda water
Mint, garnish
Grapefruit rounds, garnish
(Serves 8-10) Mix vodka, elderflower liqueur, and juices in a drink dispenser. Top with soda water just before serving. Pour over ice and garnish with mint and grapefruit.
Spicy Prickly Pear Margarita Pitcher
Heat meets sweet in this vibrant, grill-side sipper.
14 oz tequila blanco
8 oz Thatcher’s Organic Prickly Pear Liqueur
4 oz lime juice
2 oz agave syrup
6 oz orange juice
3 jalapeños (sliced, seeds removed for less heat)
Lime wedges, garnish
Tajín rim, garnish
(Serves 7-8) Combine all ingredients, save for the garnishes in a pitcher and refrigerate for 1 hour (let those jalapeños infuse!). Serve over ice with Tajín-rimmed glasses.
