Drink the way Mother Earth intended with these eco-conscious green cocktails that are as fresh, vibrant, and guilt-free as the planet deserves. We dreamt up these Earth Day cocktails with spring in mind, but you can enjoy these eco-friendly sippers all year long.
Cuke Cocktail
We fit as much cucumber into this refreshing, light green cocktail as we possibly could!
1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Elderflower Liqueur
1 oz Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur
1 small cucumber
1 oz lime juice
1.5 oz simple syrup
Cucumber ribbons, garnish
Peel (save the ribbons for the garnish) and chop the cucumber before blending in a blender until smooth. Strain the mixture into a cocktail shaker with ice and discard the pulp (you can compost this). Add Thatcher’s Vodka and Elderflower Liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake well, then strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with the cucumber ribbons from earlier.
The Bee’s Knees (But Make It Organic)
A classic with a pollinator-friendly twist.
2 oz Coppercraft Gin
.75 oz Thatcher’s Organic Elderflower Liqueur
.5 oz local honey syrup
.5 oz lemon juice
Lemon wheel, garnish
Edible flower, garnish
Shake all ingredients with ice, then strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lemon wheel and flower.
The Green Goddess
A verdant, herbaceous sip that’s as fresh as a spring garden.
1.5 oz Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur
0.5 oz Thatcher’s Organic Small Batch Vodka
0.75 oz fresh lime juice
0.5 oz honey syrup (equal parts honey & water)
3 fresh basil leaves
Soda water
Cucumber ribbon & basil sprig, garnish
Muddle basil leaves in a shaker. Add ice, Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liqueur, Thatcher’s Vodka, lime juice, and honey syrup. Shake hard, then strain into a tall glass over ice. Top with soda water and garnish with a cucumber ribbon and basil sprig.
Zero-Waste Blood Orange Old Fashioned
No waste, all taste—even the garnish is compostable!
2 oz Coppercraft Straight Bourbon Whiskey
.5 oz Thatcher’s Organic Blood Orange Liqueur
1 tsp local maple syrup
2 dashes orange bitters
Orange peel (express oils, then compost)
Stir all ingredients with ice, then strain over a large cube. Express an orange peel over the drink and drop it in (or compost it later).
The Upcycled Peach Fizz
Made with leftover peach scraps? Yes, please!
1.5 oz Thatcher’s Organic Peach Liqueur
0.5 oz apple cider vinegar (from local apples)
1 oz peach scrap syrup (simmer peels & pits with sugar & water)
2 oz sparkling water
Lemon twist, garnish
Stir Thatcher’s Organic Peach Liqueur, vinegar, and peach syrup in a glass. Add ice, top with sparkling water, and finish with a lemon twist.
